Building a Community By
and For The Batwa begins June 1, 2024

Why focus on housing? Housing plays a vital role in rebuilding the close-knit community the Batwa lost over 30 years ago. By focusing on constructing homes, we aim to create a FRESH and welcoming environment for nurturing the next generation. RIGHT NOW....40% of children do not survive partially due to unsanitary living conditions!

The Ugandan government has issues eviction notices for the Batwa. They must vacate the land where they are currently squatting. They must move as a community or lose their tribal way of life. 

​

In the past, our fundraising efforts have supported leasing land for farming, establishing a trade school for vocational training, and purchasing land. With these foundations in place, we are excited to finally embark on the journey of building homes for our community!
